Hey there, Girlfriends!

At last, I can finally share with you all the exciting news I have been bursting to tell you for more than a year!

Over the past 12 years, Models Prefer has been more successful than I could have ever dreamed – I’m so grateful to you all; thank you from the bottom of my heart! It’s because of this brand that we became friends - on-air, by mail, in person, on the cruise and here in the ybf Blog and Village. So many of you have been incredibly generous, allowing me and my whole team to share more than just a business relationship, but really, we’ve shared true friendship. You, as friends, have made me strong, made me laugh, and helped me deal with whatever surprises life has thrown my way - I truly cherish you all!

And it is because of you, in honor of you, and in service to you, that I am launching my NEW cosmetics brand, ybf (your best friend)! Without question, the name for my newest venture came from you, my wonderful girlfriends.

As sad as it is to say farewell to Models Prefer - the brand that brought us together – this past year of planning ybf has been one of the most exciting and busy years of my life! I want ybf to be everything Models Prefer has been, but SO MUCH MORE!

While the names will be changing, you’re going to recognize the familiar products you have relied on for years, but they’ll be even better, with gorgeous packaging, superior formulas, improved delivery systems, sumptuous color palettes! I consider it my personal mission to make sure that every product, every service and every experience offered under this name lives up to its pledge to be your best friend.

So yes, this past week on QVC in the UK was my final Models Prefer show, and I dearly wish I’d been able to announce to you my news then - so we could send off our old friend with a bottle of champagne - but it was not to be. I hope, instead, you’ll raise a glass of bubbly with me to welcome in this new adventure first on The Home Shopping Network (HSN) in the US on August 3rd and then on QVC in the UK on August 30th (right after our glorious Pajama Party at Sea)!

More importantly, I hope you’ll allow me the privilege and pleasure of remaining your friend. And I promise to share with you everything I’ve learned about true beauty and the empowering confidence every woman deserves to have. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you better and becoming ybf!

Hey Girlfriends!

Thank you so much for stopping by ~ we’ve really missed talking to you! There is so much happening here at ybf…and we have lots of fantastic news that we’re thrilled to share with you, including the launch of our spruced up look here at the site (isn’t it pretty?!), our brilliant new theme song, and our very exciting new ybf Village!

Our fabulous ybf theme song, “Sunshine Girl” (which you can listen to by hitting the Play button at the bottom of the screen), has been specially written for you all by our vivacious and multi-talented girlfriend, Pipa Vanderburg (formerly Gordon)! Pipa has really captured the essence of the positive, energetic spirit of our ybf Community with her music ~ and we just can’t thank her enough!! You are the best, Pipa! Listen and enjoy, ladies!

We’re also proud to launch the all-new ybf Village! This is a friendly gathering place for our beautiful community of girlfriends to share and post and chat about absolutely anything ~ from makeup to home decor to wellness to fashion to travel to…everything else in between! Another very exciting piece of news is our upcoming made-for-internet talk show which will star YOU and YOUR best friend! She might be your mom or daughter, your sister, the girl who used to live around the corner but now lives around the world, or the woman in the next cubicle ~ but we want YOU to introduce us to YOUR best friend!

We want to know what inspires you most about her…maybe she builds houses for Habitat for Humanity…or she really knows how to make strangers laugh…or maybe she whips up a double chocolate mousse cake that brings tears to your eyes, in which case, we REALLY want to meet her!

Very soon we will be posting an invitation, asking each of you lovely ladies to send us a 3-minute video telling us what inspires YOU about YOUR best friend, and the two of you could WIN a Trip for Two to New York City ~ and you and your fabulous friend will STAR in your VERY OWN internet talk show with me and one of MY best friends!

Dearest ybf Girlfriends!

With the year drawing to a close, we can’t help but look back at all the wonderful events of 2007. Our very first cruise was certainly the brightest light in a dazzling year filled with exciting developments – and 2008 is promising to be even better!! (Is that even possible, people?) It’s certainly been busy for all the elves at ybf, as we have so many thrilling surprises in store for all our beautiful girlfriends (we sooooo wish we could tell you all about it now…but we can’t yet ~ very, very soon, though, ladies!).

I CAN share the exciting news that we will be launching the ybf Village early in the New Year! This will be a fun and informative place right here on this site to hang out and chat with all our ybf’s ~ girlfriends from the ’07 cruise, those who will be on the ’08 cruise, and all the other fabulous, like-minded ladies with whom we can celebrate our loving, supportive and joyful community ~ we strongly encourage you to invite everyone in, the more the merrier!

Thank you all so much for your loyal support and warm well wishes, and most especially, for being such a lovely part of our 2007 ~ we are honored to come into your homes and your lives, and share even a tiny part in your holiday cheer. We wish you and your loved ones a happy and healthy season of celebration and let’s all make 2008 the best year yet!!

Hey there, Girlfriends!

Is it really November already? The weeks have just been flying by! Well, it was such a joy to speak with so many of you during my recent visit to QVC in London ~ I had really missed sharing stories and swapping tips. How about those amazing video clips from the cruise! It was like being back on the ship with all my ybf Babies!! Thank you so, so much to everyone who called in during the shows and also many thanks to those who tried, but weren’t able to get through. I never tire of talking to you wonderful, warm women ~ so keep those calls coming in!

The good news is that we’ll be together again real soon ~ the 22nd through 24th of November to be exact! Not only will I be bringing QVC some new Models Prefer items (just in time for some Christmas shopping!), but I will also be debuting our exciting Winter line of ybf Apparel! If you didn’t get a chance to try out the phenomenal jersey knit pieces from our Summer collection, many of those core items will be back along with fresh & flattering designs in basic black, elegant champagne, bold purples & reds, warm chocolate and crisp platinum ~ just perfect for all those special occasions coming up in December! I just can’t wait for you to see these gorgeous clothes ~ I’m really proud of them!

And girls, you know what else we have to look forward to this time of year ~ good old Jack Frost not only nipping at our noses, but also extracting out every drop of moisture from our skin & hair! Do I speak the truth, ladies? And, of course, it happens just when we want to look our best, doesn’t it?

Alright, I have a special winter survival tip for you all ~ I call this my Desert Island Pick, because it’s one of two things I would absolutely take with me on a desert island ~ Ojon’s Restorative Hair Treatment. P.S.: Who is that witchy woman and the madcap pirate in the picture, you ask? That is yours truly (look at me, I’m a brunette!) and our very own cruise diva, Mina DiSora, photographed in costume on the Miss America Cruise 2007. Mina and I gave an inspirational presentation to the ladies and enjoyed five sun-filled days aboard the Majesty of the Seas. It’s a tough life, but somebody’s gotta live it! Take care, Babies!

We’re home and just getting back our land legs ~ what a whirlwind it’s been ~ you are so missed! All we talk about still is how amazing the cruise was with all of you, and we can’t wait for you to see the gorgeous pictures from your Pajama Party at Sea!

What a blast we had! Girls really do just want to have fun, take a look at the photos and all of us being “nutters” working our pajamas & boas, partying the night away at the PJ Party! There will never be another group of ybf Babies: you girlfriends in ’07 were the first. We laughed, we cried, we danced, we vamped and discovered that no matter where we come from, we’re all more alike than we are different! It was an honor to spend time with all of you ~ you are such a strong, bold, amazing, generous and giving group of women ~ just BEAUTIFUL! And I want to thank you all for being so open and sharing with your stories, your lives and your families ~ true blessings each one of you! We are all on such a unique journey and we can’t wait to be a part of yours ~ thank you for involving us!

I also want to thank the many of you who have shared your wonderful cards, e-mails, gifts, flowers & letters ~ we are so grateful for your well wishes, feedback & support!

Each month, I will be posting a new message to you, ladies. So please use this Blog to keep in touch. We want to hear from each and every one of you ~ please!!!
